Bart "Benedict Arnold" Stupak To Retire

The man who's stupidity and treachery helped the Kenyan commie to end freedom as we once knew it in America, has decided to retire rather than seek reelection.

Via Politico:
Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.), who had a central role in the health reform fight as the leader of anti-abortion Democrats, plans to announce Friday that he will not run for reelection, a Democratic official said. Without Stupak on the ballot, the seat becomes an immediate pickup opportunity for Republicans.

"Now with health care done, he’s retiring," a friend said. "He has thought about retiring for the last three cycles, but was always talked into staying: to elect John Kerry to help end the war, to elect a Democratic majority to get health care done."

Sometime in the distant future the historians of the day are going to start digging around, looking for the names of those responsible for the demise of that once great republic called America, which plunged the world into what may be referred to as the second Dark Age.

Two names they are going to come up with will be Barack Hussein Obama and Bart Stupak.

Stoopid Obama Supporters

Via mcclatchydc.com (emphasis mine):
Questions reflecting confusion have flooded insurance companies, doctors' offices, human resources departments and business groups.

"They're saying, 'Where do we get the free Obama care, and how do I sign up for that?' " said Carrie McLean, a licensed agent for eHealthInsurance.com. The California-based company sells coverage from 185 health insurance carriers in 50 states.

McLean said the call center had been inundated by uninsured consumers who were hoping that the overhaul would translate into instant, affordable coverage. That widespread misconception may have originated in part from distorted rhetoric about the legislation bubbling up from the hyper-partisan debate about it in Washington and some media outlets, such as when opponents denounced it as socialism.

Castro Praises ObamaCare

Never mind that the old commie bastard had to fly a doctor in from Spain to be treated for his own illness given that Cuban "health care" is a myth.

Via Yahoo Finance:
Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro on Thursday declared passage of American health care reform "a miracle" and a major victory for Obama's presidency, but couldn't help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago.

"We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his (Obama's) government," Castro wrote in an essay published in state media, adding that it would strengthen the president's hand against lobbyists and "mercenaries."

You can read the entire article here.

I'm guessing once CommieCare is in full swing here in Comrade Chairman Obama's Amerika, it will take about eight to ten years for our health care system to "progress" to the same lofty heights as that wonderful "free" system those lucky Cuban's currently enjoy.

ObamaCare: Instrument of Tyranny

I almost feel sorry for those among us who believe there are people up in Washington that actually care about their health care. Oh sure, there might be a few, but I bet you could fit them all in a phone booth with room to spare.

ObamaCare really is nothing more than HillaryCare, revised, regurgitated, massaged, and stroked. The hideous consequences of its passage will be no different, as it will ultimately result in the federal government running our nation's health care system in its entirety.

This has been the goal of the left for nearly ten decades. If we have any chance at all of keeping America a free nation, that cannot be allowed to happen, as once the federal government takes control, they will quite literally have us by the proverbial short hairs, and will thenceforth and forevermore have near total control of our lives.

It would be the sort of tyranny that would have given the average NAZI a major woody, as they had nowhere near the technology that exists today.

Via Kyle-Anne Shiver at biggovernment.com:
For the past several months, I have been working with an appointed member of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), the sub-committee on health and technology. My contact on the health and technology sub-committee was privy to conversations, which when related to me, literally caused shivers down my spine.

Every single detail in my opening paragraphs of this article were actually discussed in this committee and seen as a good for the future of American society. Only a scientifically controlled populace, according to these gurus of population and health control, can survive. These scientists see their mission as one of absolute control over even the most private aspects of human life.

Not since the aftermath of WWII — when the ends of the scientific-progressive state were revealed to the world in vivid pictures of the Nazi death camps — have progressives dared to raise their heads in America to such a degree as they are now, under the leadership of Obama’s science guru, John Holdren. Holdren, early in his career, declared himself a Malthusian scientist and has, regretfully, never recanted, nor substantially altered his worldview. In Holdren’s mind, as revealed in confirmation testimony, only his numbers have been off in the past, not his conclusions on the necessity of scientific control as a societal good.

You will find the entire article here.

I bet you want see this in the New York Times or the Washington Post.

Scared yet?

BOHICA: CommieCare Rides Again

Even before that farcical show of a health care "summit" in D.C. today had even ended, and most likely weeks before it even started, the democrats were already planning to ram through a government takeover of our heath care system beginning next week.

Don't be fooled when you hear democrats say they do not support a "public option," because they are lying through their teeth.

After all, the whole point of their shoving this "reform" plan right up our nether region is the same today as it has been for the last 100 years: A full blown takeover of our health care system by the federal government.

Anyone who doesn't see this hasn't been paying attention.

This is not a reform plan, but a payment plan, and I don't have to tell you who will ultimately be footing the bill for this insanity, either.

Via Politico.com:
After a brief period of consultation following the White House health reform summit, congressional Democrats plan to begin making the case next week for a massive, Democrats-only health care plan, party strategists told POLITICO.

A Democratic official said the six-hour summit was expected to “give a face to gridlock, in the form of House and Senate Republicans.”

Democrats plan to begin rhetorical, and perhaps legislative, steps toward the Democrats-only, or reconciliation, process early next week, the strategists said.

As I have been saying for some time, these people are communists at heart who only care about one thing, and that is getting control of the greatest health care system in the world - not to cover the uninsured or lower costs, but for power and control.

Should this lunacy ultimately pass into law, undoing it in 2013 is going to be exceedingly difficult, perhaps even impossible, and the far-left knows this.

I can already hear the cries of, "The republicans want to take away your health care!" emanating from the dems and their media dog-washers in the months leading up to the 2012 elections.

And why not? After all, that scare tactic has paid dividends for the left when it comes to Social Security.

Ed Morrissey has more here.

Porkulus II to be called 'Jobs Bill'

They could just call it what it is - a slush fund.

I hate to tell Rep. Sherman, but thanks to Barack Hussein Obama, we're broke and cannot afford this lunacy. We can't even afford the lunacy that has already passed through this rogue and completely out-of-control congress.

Besides, jobs don't come from government, congressman Sherman, they come from the private sector, which your hero Obama is currently destroying.

My guess is, just like TARP and Porkulus I, the bulk of however much money this ends up being will be combined with what they have already stolen, and used in an all-out effort to install a permanent socialist congress - if not next November, then in 2012.

We must throw these Marxists out of power before it's too late.

ObamaCare Is Not Just Coming, It's Here

I realize many republicans and conservatives are jumping for joy over the prospects of a republican landslide next November, as they truly believe that a party just voted out of congressional power a mere four years ago is going to somehow be swept back in by voters who are fearful of Obama and his atrocious policies, and all is going to be right with the world.

Speaking purely for myself, I am not at all convinced that is going to happen, and for a whole lot of reasons I won't get into just yet.

For now, I will only say that any victory by the republicans that falls short of the numbers required to override presidential vetoes in both houses of congress will be a decidedly hollow one, as the next congress can start sending up repeal after repeal, only to see them be hit with the dreaded veto pen each time one lands on Obama's desk.

As I have explained before, I believe this nation is currently under a rapidly advancing communist coup, which is anchored around two main linchpins: ObamaCare and Cap & Trade - ObamaCare because it will essentially mean handing control of our individual bodies over to the federal government, and Cap & Trade because it will similarly hand over control of most everything else in our lives.

I firmly believe that if both of these hideous pieces of legislation become law that America, as we know it, is finished.

Many assume, and I believe falsely, that ObamCare is in trouble. Sorry, but the crucial vote regarding that freedom-destroying piece of legislation occurred this past Christmas Eve, and the measure managed to pass. The narrow margin by which it did so is now irrelevant.

As for Cap & Trade, that can now be implemented without further congressional approval, as the EPA has the authority to bring it to fruition, and the Obama administration has already threatened to let them do it.

Unconstitutional you say? Tough shit, as you should have been concerned about that back when the EPA was being proposed and was thus given powers all out of proportion to what the authors of our Constitution ever envisioned.

I believe ObamaCare, or as I like to call it, CommieCare, is going to be signed into law without any further votes taking place in congress.

Why? Because if the coup that is now under way is to be successful, the federal government must get control of our nation's health care system. The Soviets did it. The North Vietnamese did it. The NORKS did it, as did the Chinese and the Albanians.

Why people think it won't happen here is beyond me.

Just don't hold your breath waiting for another congressional vote on ObamaCare, because I do not believe there will be one:

When the House passed its version, members assumed it would be reconciled with the Senate bill and then sent back to both chambers for final approval, even if by the narrowest of margins.

A GOP win in Massachusetts on Tuesday would likely kill that plan, because Republicans could block Senate action on the reconciled bill.

The newly discussed fallback would require House Democrats to swallow hard and approve the Senate-passed bill without changes. President Barack Obama could sign it into law without another Senate vote needed.

The far left is much too close to pulling off the outright seizure of our private health care system to give it up it now. After all, they have been working toward this moment for over 100 years. Another vote might just kill it, as I am sure even some of the blindest of the congress-critters can now see the pitchforks gathering.

Should CommieCare become law, and I am now convinced it will, the earliest shot the republicans will have at dismantling it will not come around until January of 2013, which is three years from now.

And that is assuming they have been elected in sufficient numbers, as well if they even have the stones to do it.

Pelosi: ObamaCare a Christmas Present to America

I wonder if it is returnable if unopened?

I have an idea for a Christmas present for Comrade Pelosi: I fill a paper bag full of fresh dog-squeeze, walk up onto her front porch, light the bag, ring the doorbell and run.

It would be fun just thinking of this idiot woman stomping her brains out all over the front porch.

Scenes From The Atlanta Health Care Town Hall

Sadly, my camera was on the fritz Saturday, so I wasn't able to get any pics, but here is some video of the event:

(h/t: parrotpatriot.com)

The latest reports I have seen were that approx 15,000 ultimately attended the event, but I would have liked to have seen more people show up. Admittedly it was a very hot day, and the Braves played nearby at 4:00pm, the in-town Interstates were all screwed up due to an ongoing weekend paving operation, and Paul McCartney was playing a show that evening at Piedmont Park.

Still, thanks to everyone who participated.

See you at the next one.

Camille Paglia: Pelosi Must Go

Here's a teaser:

Having said that, I must confess my dismay bordering on horror at the amateurism of the White House apparatus for domestic policy. When will heads start to roll? I was glad to see the White House counsel booted, as well as Michelle Obama's chief of staff, and hope it's a harbinger of things to come. Except for that wily fox, David Axelrod, who could charm gold threads out of moonbeams, Obama seems to be surrounded by juvenile tinhorns, bumbling mediocrities and crass bully boys.

Case in point: the administration's grotesque mishandling of healthcare reform, one of the most vital issues facing the nation. Ever since Hillary Clinton's megalomaniacal annihilation of our last best chance at reform in 1993 (all of which was suppressed by the mainstream media when she was running for president), Democrats have been longing for that happy day when this issue would once again be front and center.

You can read her whole column here.

Paglia is one of the few lib columnists I can actually read, as she writes very well, and doesn't appear to be afflicted with a terminal case of government school-induced stoopid, like so many in her side of the aisle.

You Know ObamaCare is in Deep Dog-Squeeze When Even Liberals in the People's Republic of Taxachusetts Aren't Buying It

Remember this video the next time you hear Obama, Reid and Pelosi refer to us as a "right-wing mob."

Mob this, you stooges.

You know, I'm starting to think we might just be able to stop this health care "reform" plan from Hell.
When liberty is taken away by force it can be restored by force. When it is relinquished voluntarily by default it can never be recovered. -Dorothy Thompson
