Government School Children Forced to Pray to Allah

Via americanthinker.com:

The video was taken inside the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center - Boston's controversial Saudi-funded mega-mosque - during a Wellesley Middle School social studies trip to the mosque, ostensibly taken to learn about the history of Islam first-hand. Yet the video reveals that the students are being blatantly mis-educated about Islam. A mosque spokesperson is seen teaching the children that in Mohammed's 7th century Arabia women were allowed to vote, while in America women only gained that right a hundred years ago. This seems to be an increasingly recurring theme in American schools - the denigration of western civilization and the glorification of Islamic history and values. In fact, just recently, the American Textbook Council revealed that the New York State high school regents exam whitewashes the atrocities that occurred during the imperialistic Islamic conquest of Christian Byzantium, Persia, the African continent, and the Indian subcontinent, even as it demonizes European colonialism in South America.

The mosque spokesperson also taught the students that the only meaning of Jihad in Islam is a personal spiritual struggle, and that Jihad has historically had no relationship with holy war. As far as we know, the school has not corrected these false lessons.
You can read the rest, as well as view the video at this link.

I have to disagree with the author on one point, as I think all the parents should sue, as well as demand the school officials responsible for this be terminated immediately.

Like I have always said, packing off a child to a government school is a flagrant act of child abuse.

What Happens When Government Teaches Kids to Drive?

We get more hair, teeth and eyeballs on the highways and byways of America.

Via wishtv.com:

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indiana lawmakers say they are puzzled by a study that shows teenagers who take driver's education classes are more likely to crash than those who do not take the classes.

The Indiana BMV released the study that it says shows current drivers under 18 who took driver's ed had nearly four times the crashes than those without the training.

Some lawmakers say it might be time for an overhaul. The state's drivers ed program has not changed in the past 30 years.

But the BMV says the numbers might be skewed by the fact that teens with driver's ed get their permits earlier and have more time on the road.
The above was originally posted here.

Heh, government can't even run a lemonade stand. I have no clue why the parents of America's teens think it can teach their kids to drive safely.

If I were the parent of one of these kids, I would be suing the school district into bankruptcy over this outrage.

Florida School Teaches Kids About Life Under Communism

Via HeraldTribune.com:
The line: "I will serve the glorious East German state better."

The students copied it repeatedly after watching a propaganda film depicting the evils of Western culture.

The drill was part of a history lesson taken to an elaborate level Tuesday at Pine View, where Stephany and the rest of the 2,000 students participated in an interactive lesson commemorating the fall of the Berlin Wall 20 years ago.

"This was a project of the history club, and their idea was that students should really have an idea of what it was like to live in a communist state," said social studies teacher Patricia Johnston, who helped organize the project and served as the lead "comrade."

Students, with the help of a local landscaping company, erected a nearly 100-foot paper replica of the Berlin wall, complete with graffiti. It stood across the middle of the campus to mimic the concrete wall that separated communist East Germany from capitalist West Germany from 1961 to the end of 1989.

You will find the entire story at this link.

I think this is a really great idea, given today's widespread and profound ignorance of what communism really is all about, particularly among younger Americans.

What I find truly amazing about this is that Pine View is a government school for gifted students.

Perhaps this idea will spread so that the evils of the most murderous, tyrannical and freedom-robbing form of government the world has yet seen will not be forgotten - lest they be repeated.

Government Skools: Recruiting Ground for the Far Left

I have long held the belief that government schools exist solely for the purpose of aiding in the growth and broadening the scope of government. These so-called "schools" work toward this goal in two ways - educating children just enough to be marginally employable, and indoctrinating them to believe that government can solve all of their problems.

The last thing government wants is to have true independent thinkers running around. After all, people who can think, as well as do for themselves, don't need government in their lives, and are often hostile to government intrusion into them.

That, of course, just cannot be allowed, as we all know government knows what is best for us.

But it runs much deeper than that, as Barack Hussein Obama is now tapping government schools to supply his far-left crusade with willing recruits to promote his freedom-destroying agenda:

Pamela Geller over at Atlas Shrugs posted this on Saturday:
An Atlas reader, Chuck, has a student in the eleventh grade in an Ohio High School. Her government class passed out this propaganda recruiting paper so students could sign up as interns for Obama's Organizing for America (OFA is the former mybarackobama.com site.)

Obama is using our public school system to recruit for his Alinsky-inspired private army. Organizing for America is (and I quote) recruiting in our high schools to "build on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda" ............of national socialism.

The Ohio High School is Perry Local in Massillon, Ohio.

This is incredible. And evil. Suffer the little children -- enlisted like SS youth. This is no accident. Obama is poisoning our public school system. He acts as if it's his own private breeding farm. Once again academic learning and achievement is hopelessly abandoned, and supplanted by radical leftist activism from the leftwing Alinsky indoctrinators in the perversepublic school system.

Children must be advised to expose this ugly propaganda. Children must tell their parents how they are being used and manipulated. Parents, warn your kids. Better yet, home school.

You can read Pamela's entire excellent post here, and I strongly urge you to do so, as it is utterly chilling.

You can read more on this from Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters, who weighs in on this idiocy as well, as has my friend Gio at Giovanni's World.

Surprisingly, I haven't seen much on this anywhere else as yet, but maybe that will change as this story spreads, and I hope it goes viral.

Of course, this lunacy is absurd in the extreme, and should in no way be tolerated by a society that truly values its freedom. And that brings up a question many seem to be afraid to ask these days: Do the American people really still value their freedom?

I was once perhaps naive enough to believe we did, but given my observations over the last twelve months regarding Obama's rapidly unfolding Marxist nightmare, and the maddening (to me, anyway) complacency being displayed by the bulk of the American people, I am no-longer convinced that we do.

The Coup Rolls On

I realize most real Americans are rejoicing over Scott Brown's Senate win in Massachusetts yesterday, and well we should, as I think it sent a message to Washington that even the dullest pol cannot ignore - not even a dullard such as Maxine Waters.

However, Barack Hussein Obama still has 59 votes in the Senate, a House that is still in the tank by a wide margin, and has at least another ten months before encountering any meaningful speed bumps, or more preferably an arresting hook, that could either slow or possibly stop cold the takeover of America by the radical far-left that is currently underway.

While many aren't looking, Obama is moving to seize the school loan program through his pending 2010 budget bill.

Via CNSNews.com:
A bill currently before the Senate would empower the Obama administration to nationalize the student lending industry, eliminating the federally subsidized private loans millions of university students rely on to finance their educations.

The Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act – currently being considered by the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee – would eliminate the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) program. FFEL loans are federally subsidized and make up approximately 80 percent of the student lending industry.
You can read the whole thing here.

We are now exactly 365 days into this hideous and rapidly advancing takeover by the radical far-left. To this point, the federal government has grabbed two of our three automakers, 90% of the mortgage industry, is currently gearing up to go after our banks, and now is seeking to snatch up all school loans.

How long will it be before loans for higher education begin being divvied out based on the "political reliability" of the hopeful recipient?

Not very, I would say.

Perhaps after the results in yesterday's special Senate election in Massachusetts, the republicans might now grow a spine and resist this insanity.

I'm not holding my breath, but it could happen.

You can read more about this topic here.

Obama Jugend: 11 More Videos Surface

Big Hollywood has the whole disgusting story here.

Big Hollywood has already posted a couple disturbing videos of young school children singing/speaking praises to President Obama, but when eleven more dropped in our email box it came as quite a shock. What seemed like an aberration now appears to be a troubling pattern.

Maybe “epidemic” is a better word.

Each one of the videos below is creepier than the last because the further down you go, the younger the children — brace yourself for kindergartners – except for the last and most disturbing video, which you have to see to believe.

I bet Baldur von Schirach would be proud.

Government School Incompetence: Three New York School Children Immunized for H1N1 By Mistake

From nydailynews.com:
School nurses mistakenly gave the swine flu vaccine to two students who didn't sign up for it - including a Brooklyn girl with epilepsy who wound up in the hospital.

"I was outraged," Naomi Troy, 26, told the Daily News after her 6-year-old daughter, Nikiyah Torres-Pierre, had a possible allergic reaction to the shot.

Officials at Public School 335 in Crown Heights called an ambulance to take Nikiyah to SUNY Downstate Medical Center when she fell ill following the arm jab.

[...]

Troy was waiting for advice from her family doctor on whether Nikiyah should get the shot since she takes medicine to control her epilepsy.

When the nurse called for a student Thursday morning, Nikiyah's teacher misunderstood and sent the wrong student, Troy said.

The error was compounded when the nurse didn't check Nikiyah's name before sticking her in the shoulder, the mother said.

[...]

A student at PS 65 in Staten Island also received the vaccine without parental permission on Wednesday, but officials gave no further details.

You will find the entire story here.

I hate to point this out (not really), but what can you expect from an operation that is run by the government? Why parents continue to pack the (supposedly) most precious things in their lives off five days a week and turn them over to the clutches of the government is beyond me.

What is more, why are government nurses immunizing children in the first place, particularly with a vaccine that many in the health care industry feel is something less than safe?

After all, who owns your children? You, or the government?

You will find more here.

Broward County To Parents: We Own Your Kids!

Okay, they didn't say it exactly that way, but they may as well have.

Remember, in Obama's Amerika, children belong to the state, not to their parents.

University of Wisonsin Seeks To Punish Students For Off-Campus Bad Behavior

The University of Wisconsin is a public educational system, which means it is run by government agents. As such, it believes it has the authority to punish students for things they do away from campus.

I can see all kinds of abuses brewing with this government idiocy.

All they are really doing with this nonsense is turning out future mindless nanny-state supporters, which I believe is the result they are seeking.

Zero Tolerance: Are Our Children Safer?

Or, is it just another brick being laid on this nation's path to total wussification?

Anti-gun hysteria has reached a fever pitch in this country. Someone sees a firearm, or even thinks they do, they promptly panic, frantically dial 911 on their cell phone, and soon all hell breaks lose.

Police are summoned, someone alerts the local media, the S.W.A.T team arrives, the surrounding eight block area is cordoned off, authorities go door-to-door, evacuating those who reside in the area, and police helicopters fill the skies, all because of the reported presence of a firearm.

Okay, that may be a slight exaggeration, but it isn't far off the mark.

Nowhere has this hysterical phenomenon been more apparent than in and around our nation's government schools. Ever since the Columbine incident, and even before, most of our nation's government school districts have had in place all kinds of rules regarding firearms on, or even near, campus. While some of these rules are probably reasonable given the times we live in, the interpretation of those rules has often been anything but.

"Zero Tolerance" has, sadly, become the order of the day. To the average person, this would, on its face, appear to be a reasonable course of action. Problem is, zero tolerance has been taken to the point of lunacy in many of our nation's school systems. It insulates school administrators from having to actually think, and turns them into mindless government robots, while doing little, in my opinion, to make students safer while in school.

One of my "favorite" policies are the "Gun Free Zones" that have sprung up around many school campuses in this country in recent years. In some areas, these zones extend thousands of feet in all directions from the school's property. As I see it, these "zones" have done little more than make our children sitting ducks, as it appears to me they are really open invitations to those who wish to harm our children.

I am sure that some disturbed individual who has it in their mind to go to a school and shoot some students is going to see one of the signs denoting the boundary of such a zone and is going to say, "Aw, shucks," and turn around and go home. Right. That person is probably going to be encouraged to press further, knowing he will have more time to carry out his plan before anyone who is actually armed will show up and put a swift end to the proceedings.

I have read news stories of kids being suspended, even expelled, for having on then harmless items, and even in some cases, mere pictures, related to some sort of weapon or other. I have seen where a kid was suspended from school and threatened with psychological counseling because the kid (gasp!) merely drew a picture that happened to have a gun in it, but was not threatening in any way.

A friend of mine's son here in the Atlanta area was nearly suspended two years ago from his government school merely because he had a key chain that had been made from the empty, spent rifle shell he had saved from the very first deer he ever took while out hunting with his dad.

A recent example of the anti-gun hysteria that is sweeping this nation is the case of 17 year-old Marie Morrow, who was suspended from her Colorado school, and is facing possible expulsion merely for having fake drill team rifles in her vehicle. A couple of students saw them and reported it to the school administrators.

I have no problem with what transpired to this point (although I would be embarrassed if my own children were unable to distinguish between a real rifle and an obvious plastic fake) but what happened next was insanity.

Ms. Morrow is now facing her plight due to a Colorado law that requires this punishment for "violations" of weapons laws on campus. In my opinion, this nonsense should have ended once it was determined that the "rifles" weren't even close to being real.

Now, perhaps it could be argued by some that Ms. Morrow showed a minor lapse in judgment in having those drill team props visible in her vehicle (but to me that would be due more to the paranoid times we now exist in) but does her "transgression" warrant a two-week suspension and possible expulsion? Hardly.

I have seen kids who actually physically assaulted another student get less punishment than this.

Thirty years ago when I was in school, we had kids bringing old and antique (but fully functional) guns to school for show-and-tell, and no one thought anything of it. These ranged anywhere from 19th century muzzle-loading rifles to 1911 A1 .45s, and one for-real Samurai sword a kid's grandfather had brought back from Japan after WW II.

None of those kids ever even thought about using those weapons against another student.

I realize our culture has changed over the last three decades, and we seem to have more than a few kooks running around who are looking to harm children, but are we really doing our kids a favor by teaching them to be so utterly terrified of guns that they go all weak-kneed at the very sight of one?

Are we going to continue to allow school administrators to hide behind their mindless zero-tolerance policies that keep them from actually having to make a decision, or even apply a little common sense, to an event that involves their students?

Are we, perhaps unwittingly, allowing our children to be ingrained with the idea that only government can protect them?

After all, government did such a bang-up job of saving those kids at Columbine, did they not? It seems to me had there been a few adults in that school with access to firearms, and had they been properly trained in their use, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold's bloody rampage could have been ended far sooner. After all, it didn't actually end due to any action on the part of government, but because the two little punks killed themselves.

Just think, while the local government "law enforcement" employees were milling about outside for hours trying to figure what to do, a few people on the inside, properly equipped and trained, could have saved many, if not most of those student's whose lives were taken from them that horrible day.

Or have we become so wussified as a society, and find violence in any form so abhorrent, that we prefer to allow ourselves to be mowed down than to actually do anything to protect ourselves?

Sometimes I wonder.
