The San Francisco based 9th Circuit Court of Appeals is not exactly known for its conservative decisions. In fact, they aren't even known as followers of U.S. Supreme Court precedents, as it is one of the more liberal federal appeals courts in the nation, so much so that many refer to it as the 9th Circus Court.

What completely shocked me was its recent ruling that came out mostly (gasp!) in support of the 2nd Amendment.

No joke.

(Bolds are mine)

The new ruling from the usually liberal 9th Circuit said Alameda County in California was allowed to ban guns at its facilities, but in general the 2nd Amendment provision for Americans to keep and bear arms applies not to just federal gun limits but local rules as well.

Bob Unruh over at WorldNetDaily has the whole story here.

Sometimes, life truly is stranger than fiction.
