Obama Welcomes the Rise of the Chicoms

China's rapid growth is often painted as a threat to American interests. But President Obama said today that the country's economic progress benefits the United States and opens the door to greater international stability and humanitarian progress.

"We welcome China's rise," Mr. Obama said at a press conference at the White House with Chinese President Hu Jintao. "I absolutely believe that China's peaceful rise is good for the world, and it's good for America."

He added, "We just want to make sure that that rise occurs in a way that reinforces international norms and international rules, and enhances security and peace, as opposed to it being a source of conflict either in the region or around the world."

China is poised to eat our economic breakfast, lunch, as well as our dinner, and it appears the former community pisser-offer just pushed their chair much closer to the table.

Perhaps Nixon's opening the door to China wasn't such a hot idea after all.

Bibi Dissed by the Comrade Chairman

This is disgusting beyond words.

For a head of government to visit the White House and not pose for photographers is rare. For a key ally to be left to his own devices while the President withdraws to have dinner in private was, until this week, unheard of. Yet that is how Binyamin Netanyahu was treated by President Obama on Tuesday night, according to Israeli reports on a trip viewed in Jerusalem as a humiliation.

After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on settlements, Mr Obama walked out of his meeting with Mr Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisers and “let me know if there is anything new”, a US congressman, who spoke to the Prime Minister, said.

“It was awful,” the congressman said. One Israeli newspaper called the meeting “a hazing in stages”, poisoned by such mistrust that the Israeli delegation eventually left rather than risk being eavesdropped on a White House telephone line. Another said that the Prime Minister had received “the treatment reserved for the President of Equatorial Guinea”.

This is a new low even for the Comrade Chairman. For some reason, the former community agitator feels compelled to treat our traditional allies in a horrendous manner at every opportunity, such as he did the British shortly after he came to power.

I do not always agree what the Israelis do, but they are the only democracy in the region, and one of our staunchest allies on the planet.

Something tells me that if that Iranian Hitler Akhmedinadinnerjacket was to pay a visit to the White House, he would have been given the red carpet treatment for the duration.

The Comrade Chairman owes Mr. Netanyahu, and the Israeli people, an engraved apology.

I won't hold my breath waiting for it, as that would require class beyond anything this hideous fraud of a POTUS possesses.

China Widens Lead as World's Top Food Producer

China extended its position as the world’s leading food producer in 2008, when its agricultural production jumped 30%, measured by value, World Trade Organization data show.

Chinese farm production rose to $759,94 billion in 2008, the latest year for which figures are available, from $584,25 billion in 2007, according to a note by the WTO secretariat, circulated on the WTO website and dated February 23.

US agricultural production was $311,23 billion in 2007, the latest year for which data are available, up from $246,57 billion in 2006 - China was already ahead of the US in 1995 when the WTO series starts.

America's decline into oblivion doesn't have to be inevitable, but it will be if something drastic isn't done, and soon. Just putting more republican fannies in congressional seats isn't going to cut it, as they have proven themselves to be little better than their democrat counterparts.

One sure way to not just slow or even halt our seemingly inexorable slide into history's already crowded gutter, but to actually reverse it thus ultimately returning this nation to prosperity and global prominence, would be to simply rip out the hideous and confiscatory federal income tax system that is driving our retreat, and replace it with the FairTax.

As I see it, the FairTax is America's last great hope not just for its very survival, but to also return it to being the prosperous and free nation it once was.

I have no doubt that eventually the American people are going to reach the same conclusion.

The only question is, will it be in time?

Honduras Caves, Reinstates Zelaya

The interim government of Honduras has yielded to international pressure and agreed to allow the return to power of Manuel Zelaya, the ousted President who was toppled in a military coup four months ago.

The breakthrough came after renewed pressure from senior US officials who travelled to Honduras this week for a last-ditch effort to end the crisis.

"It is a triumph for Honduran democracy," said Mr Zelaya after the rival sides agreed to a deal under which he may be reinstated as President within days.

The United States, the European Union and Latin American leaders had all demanded that Mr Zelaya be allowed to finish his presidential term, which ends in January. They had said that they might not recognise the winner of the November election unless democracy was first restored.

US President Barack Obama cut some aid to Honduras after the coup but had been criticised by some Latin American countries for not doing more to force the de facto government to back down.

First of all, it was no military coup that ousted Zelaya. He was voted out for his attempting to violate the Honduran constitution. Even the moochers and leeches at the U.N. agreed his removal had been legal, as did the Law Library of Congress, which is why they told John Kerry, the darling of pajama-clad Viet-Cong all over North (and South) Vietnam, to go pound sand* when he attempted to have their report quashed.

This was certainly no "triumph" for democracy, neither in Honduras, nor anywhere else in the world. It was, however, a cold slap in the face to the rule of law, and to people the world over who yearn to experience the freedom we here in America still enjoy - although I wonder for how much longer.

I am sorry, but I want my president, as well as my government, expending our resources (as in tax dollars) promoting freedom and liberty around the world, not working 24/7/365 to reinstall a communist dictator that the people of that country clearly do not want.

What a disgrace.
