Poor Bill O'Reilly and Brit Hume. There they were on the O'Reilly show a few weeks ago, puzzling over why Barack Obama and the Democrats are doing so many things that are damaging to our country. Bill and Brit agreed that they couldn't possibly be harming the nation intentionally, because negative voter reaction would redound to them politically and electorally. Can't the Democrats see this? Did they suddenly get stupid politically? This is so unlike them. How to explain this anomaly?

Poor Bill and Brit, and many others, indeed. It is time to think the unthinkable and speak the ineffable. Apart from the troubling question of intent, or whether Obama-Pelosi-Reid just have a novel view of the public interest, the national Democrats are unnaturally and mysteriously sanguine despite growing backlash by the American people. Why? One reason: The Dems don't believe they will ever have to face a real election again. Is their plan not becoming obvious? It is very straightforward:

(1) Grant amnesty to the illegal aliens (the correct term for lawbreaking invaders, regardless of their natural and rational motives) which will create up to 30 million reliably Democrat voters -- especially after being registered at least once each by ACORN. That is cushion enough to carry any national election. Why else could Dems be so fixated on this agenda item?

I believe Gaski has it exactly right, and far too many conservatives are already chilling the bubbly in anticipation of a huge conservative victory next November that I am not at all convinced is coming.

There is no doubt in my mind that TARP and Porkulus were brought about for the sole purpose of ensuring a permanent defeat-proof socialist congress is put into place, and I expect the far-left to employ every dirty trick contained within its arsenal over the next two elections to make that a reality. They might even manage to invent some new ones along the way, such as Universal Voter Registration, which even a blind monkey could see as the vote-fraud scheme it obviously is.

Neal Boortz has been warning us for years about the far-left taking power and never relinquishing it again, and spelled out exactly how they are doing it.

Sadly, there are still too many among us who have yet to wake up and take notice. Yes, the Tea Parties were all well and good, but when you really think about it, they didn't get really cranking until the intricacies of ObamaCare began filtering out.

It's just too bad they didn't get up and going back when the bailouts and slush funds were being proposed and put into place. Those horses have now left the barn and bolted for God-knows-where, and rounding them up again my very well prove impossible.

The people of this nation have historically gotten away with waiting around to the last second of the last minute of the eleventh hour before realizing something was amiss in this country. I fear that we have now reached the point where, by the time most Americans put down their People Magazines, turn off American Idol, and finally began taking notice as to what is really happening to our republic, it is going to be too late to repair the damage.

I pray every day that I am wrong.

BOHICA: Up-Chuck Shumer Is At It Again-Amnesty For 30 Million Illegals By Labor Day

At a time when the U.S. economy is faltering badly, when millions of American citizens are losing their livelihoods, their life savings, and even their homes, one would think that an elected representative of the people, particularly a United States Senator, would be working 24/7 on ways to halt and then reverse the fast-crumbling economic situation for the people of his state, as well as his fellow Americans.

Not so Sen. Chuck Shumer (D-N.Y.).

Sen. Chuckie has decided to spend his summer trying to push through yet another hideous "Immigration Reform" (amnesty) bill, which will essentially reward 30 million criminals who have entered our nation illegally:

During an interview with The Associated Press, Sen. Chuck Schumer said an immigration bill can be done by the end of the year or early next year that works out disagreements between labor and business interests on the flow of legal foreign workers.

"I think we'll have a good bill by Labor Day," said Schumer, D-N.Y. "I think the fundamental building blocks are in place to do comprehensive immigration reform."

Comprehensive immigration reform, Senator? How about comprehensive economic reform? You can start by repealing every penny of that nation-killing, $12 trillion (that we don't have) worth of vote-buying spending crap you clowns have been voting on and not even reading over the last six months.

The way to get the bill done is to be very tough on future waves of illegal immigration, Schumer said. He declared himself pro-immigration and said the United States should encourage legal immigration and find some kind of path for people now here to find a way to legal citizenship.

Why? So you and your fellow idiot congress-critters can eventually offer them amnesty, too? And do you really think, Senator Schumer, that we are going to believe for a second that you, a democrat, along with the rest of the like-minded lefty congressional gaggle, are going to actually get tough on future democrat voters?

Sorry, Senator Schumer, though many of us may have been born at night, it wasn't last night.

As most of you remember, the last time our government tried to slide an amnesty bill by us, We the People rose up and said not just No, but Hell No! Well, it appears we are going to have to do so once again.

Exactly which part of No Amnesty For Illegals did these congressional goober-cheeses not get the last time they tried this?

And unlike last time, our nation's economy is currently doing a fair imitation of the Titanic, and shows no signs of even beginning to level off, much less going into this alleged recovery phase we keep hearing about. Many millions of our fellow Americans are out of work, and many millions more will be joining them before this economic mess even begins to get straightened out.

Illegal aliens currently in this country are not just taking jobs away from Americans, but are costing already hideously overtaxed Americans untold billions as it is, and are a big reason why the State of California is rapidly approaching insolvency.

For any Washington politician to even be thinking about granting amnesty to 30 million of these criminal invaders, much less actually trying to do it, is beyond unconscionable in such a time as this.

And not a little stupid.

I don't know if it is possible to track the pitchfork inventory contained within our nation's hardware stores and warehouses, but I hope to hell it is getting rather low right now.

Is Obama "Justice" Department Trying To Dilute the Votes of Me and My Fellow Georgians?

It certainly appears that way, despite the fact that 77% of us here in Georgia feel that people should have to demonstrate that they are, in fact, U.S. citizens prior to voting.

I don't suppose the fact that Georgia is currently home to a sizable number of illegal aliens would have had anything to do with the Justice Department's decision, would it?

Naww, 'course it wouldn't.

If we have reached the point in this nation that the federal government is actively working to allow illegal aliens to vote in our elections, we may as well lock the doors, turn off the lights, and roll up the sidewalks.

Scamnesty Rears its Ugly Head Yet Again

I hope you all have kept the KY handy, because it appears our illustrious federal government, under the direction of the 44th "president," is about to try and cram yet another "comprehensive" immigration reform bill down our throats.

Administration officials said that Mr. Obama’s plan would not add new workers to the American work force, but that it would recognize millions of illegal immigrants who have already been working here.

And this line of steaming BS is supposed to make us actually feel better?

We all know what this really means-amnesty for those who have broken our laws and invaded this country illegally.

As before, I suspect the government will lie and tell us that it isn't actually amnesty, but the fact is we all know better. Let's face it, members of both parties are most anxious to gain the votes of these criminal invaders somewhere down the line. The sooner the better.

One would think that after the severe drubbing our elected "representatives" took via snail mail, fax, telephone and internet the last time this lunacy was attempted, that just maybe they would cease and desist from any further action in this most sensitive area, especially given the fact that so many of our fellow real Americans are out of work due to the current economic situation.

I still have trouble understanding exactly just what part of "illegal alien" the brain-dead idiots in our government aren't quite getting.

Oh Atlanta!

No, I'm not referring to the Little Feat song of the same name (although it is on my all time list of good tunes) but to something a little less pleasant. Make that a lot less.

I love the Atlanta area and have spent my entire 44 years living here, splitting my time evenly between residing in-town and dwelling in the northwestern suburbs. I cannot imagine living anywhere else.

Like most other large metropolitan areas, Atlanta has its problems with traffic congestion, crime, and an ever-growing population, but the great weather, generally low tax rates, and, for the most part, pretty nice people combine to make this a pretty pleasant place to live.

Commuting here can be an adventure, as the traffic congestion can rival that of Los Angeles at times. I have had some pretty brutal commutes myself, one of which entailed a 1.5 to 3 hours it required to make the 22 mile trip home every afternoon, depending on the number of accidents you had to navigate around. Needless to say, the secret to quality of life here is to live as close to your employer as you possibly can. Still, life is pretty good here in Hotlanta.

Metropolitan Atlanta has historically been a swift-growing area, and construction projects have been a fact of life here as far back as I can remember. If it isn't roads, its schools, residential and commercial subdivisions, apartment complexes, condos, shopping malls, and the occasional sports arena. Most of the time, it is all of the above. Most natives long ago learned to live with it. For many newcomers, it takes a while to adjust.

Like most growing areas around the nation, we have had an influx of illegal aliens, as the construction industry and its related employment opportunities have, up until recently, been rather plentiful. I started noticing it in my area around 2003, when my morning stops at my local QuikTrip to fill my 24 oz. stainless steel coffee mug with their excellent steaming-hot Colombian brew began to remind me of defending the line at the Alamo. It seems to have reached its peak in 2007, as there appears to be fewer of them around these days, as much of the construction in this area has dried up for the time being.

To be honest, I am not the consumer of local news that I once was. I stopped reading the Atlanta Journal-Constitution back in the mid 1990's, as it had truly become the Atlanta Urinal-Constipation by that time, that when it wasn't trying to be the Al Jazeera Urinal-Constipation.

I have also drifted away from local TV news coverage. I mean, just how many gruesome murders, bodies found floating in the 'hooch (that's the Chattahoochee River for those of you who aren't from here) and apartment fires can one take in a lifetime? I bagged my limit about five years ago.

Yesterday, a story came out in USA Today that caught me a little off guard. In fact, I wasn't even aware of it until I heard Mark Levin discussing it on his radio show. Color me embarrassed.

The majority of the Mexicans that have "immigrated" here over the years are decent, hard working people looking to earn an "honest" living (even though they are by definition, criminals.) However, it appears some who have snuck into our country along with their fellow Mexicans did so for a very different reason-the drug trade, and surprisingly have set up shop here in Atlanta.

Rival drug cartels, the same violent groups warring in Mexico for control of routes to lucrative U.S. markets, have established Atlanta as the principal distribution center for the entire eastern U.S., according to the Justice Department's National Drug Intelligence Center.

Of course, this would not be a growing problem here in Atlanta, or anywhere else, if our federal government would do more than just pay lip-service to enforcing our immigration laws. Sadly, it appears neither party is willing to do that.

Once word of this spreads, I expect the local firearms dealers are about to see yet another boost in sales, as if they weren't busy enough as it is.

Looks like, once again, I am in the wrong business.

Illegal Criminal Invaders Sue Arizona Rancher

Imagine that you own a 22,000 acre ranch near Douglas, Arizona. Your spread has been a virtual highway for a sizable percentage of the swarm of illegal criminals who have been streaming across our southern border, practically unhindered, for decades.

You have seen your personal property destroyed by the illegal criminals who pass across you land. You have spent God only knows how much of your time cleaning up the refuse that is discarded by our neighbors to the south as they sneak into our country. You have seen your cattle killed by these people, and have had your domicile violated by them as well. You have personally apprehended over 12,000 of these illegal criminal invaders over the last decade, and handed them over to the U.S. Border Patrol.

What if sixteen of these Mexican criminals were now suing you in an American court, represented by lawyers licensed to practice in this country, and who are seeking to take $32 million from you?

Sound like something you would read over at theOnion.com? If this were a sane world, probably so. The sad reality is, it is happening right now in Arizona.

Sixteen illegal aliens are now suing 64 year-old ranch owner Roger Barnett in federal court.

They plaintiffs are alleging that Mr. Barnett, who apprehended these sixteen criminals on his private property, and held them at gun point until the authorities arrived, caused them emotional distress and violated their "civil rights." These uninvited foreigners are also alleging other "crimes" on the part of Mr Barnett, members of his family, as well as the sheriff of Cochise County, Ariz., who the lawsuit has named as co-defendants.

One of the few major media outlets that has even bothered to cover this hideous travesty is the Washington Times, and you can read their report on this lunacy here.

"In March, U.S. District Judge John Roll rejected a motion by Mr. Barnett to have the charges dropped, ruling there was sufficient evidence to allow the matter to be presented to a jury. Mr. Barnett's attorney, David Hardy, had argued that illegal immigrants did not have the same rights as U.S. citizens. "

This entire affair is beyond infuriating, to say the least, and for so many obvious reasons. It appears that this nation is slowly letting its sovereignty slide by the wayside.

You really have to wonder how much time a republic has left when it not only refuses to enforce its own borders, but allows non-citizens to use its own court system to bring litigation against its own citizens, even if the litigants have broken the law in numerous ways.

Move over, Mayans. Step to the side, Incas. Make a hole, Roman Empire. It appears things may soon be getting a little crowded on the ash-heap of history.
