I previously noted that a "hate crime" bill was being assembled in congress that essentially was going to make thought an actual crime in this nation.
Sadly, we have now moved one step closer to this insanity, as the bill has made it through on a 249-175 vote in the House. It appears Equal Protection Under the Law, like so many other things that make this country truly unique, is about to become a thing of the past.
It still has to pass in the Senate, but I expect it will sail right through with little meaningful resistance.
Ed Morrissey at HotAir.com has more here.
Of course, the Huftards, along with their libtard comrades could not be happier, as this gets them pretty much to where they have wanted to be all along-to throw Christians into prison for publicly expressing their beliefs, even in their own church.
Hopefully, the U.S. Supreme Court will show this clearly unconstitutional travesty the door before too much damage is done.

I have had similar thoughts about laws against harboring certain feelings during the commission of a crime leading to laws against expressing those same feelings while earning an honest living (so to speak). The average Joe should not need a doctorate in law in order to be certain of expressing his (or her as in Josephine) feelings in a lawful manner. While I think that the bastards who tied the homosexual to the fence in freezing temperatures and left him to die there (Wyoming?) should be serving life without parole, I can't help wondering what further punishment would this new law inflict. I have not read this law (or any other law ever for that matter); I'd like to see excerpts from it that might potend emotion legislation!
whoinsamhill,
Thanks for commenting!
I can see all kinds of government shenanigans afoot should legislation of this type become law.
Funny, but I was taught to believe that we were all supposed to be equal under the law.
Apparently there are those who believe some of us should be more equall than others.
